Harriet Morgan is a Sports Massage Therapist with individual and team based clients ranging from elite athletes to those involved in sport as a leisure pursuit.
As head Massage Therapist for the Northern Ballet Theatre, Harriet understands how extremely challenging injuries sustained from overuse of specific muscles can be. Working with the dancers is particularly rewarding as they are performing and rehearsing constantly whilst needing to be in peak condition. Harriet is able to adapt the depth and localisation of techniques needed for each individual. Pain perception is a very personal experience and working with the client's perception to achieve physical and psychological rewards is imperative.
Having a background in competitive swimming and indoor rowing, Harriet has an acute understanding of sports injuries and how massage can aid performance & rehabilitation.
With experience at high profile events within the entertainment industry she is experienced at dealing with clients of all calibres. Artists involved in performance have a range of needs from aches and pains of a drummer to the lead singer being able to physically cope with the pressure of being on stage. Harriet has worked with bands such as Radiohead, Liberty X, Craig David, The Thrills and Simply Red to enhance their performance skills.
Harriet is a tutor on the Sports Massage courses at The University of Leeds, enabling students to gain invaluable practical skills which are now being utilised by the University sports teams throughout the year.
